Last night was as action packed as I've seen a wedding be!
Stephanie & Raegan married after being together for 15 years, and they had so many layers to their day, we had to keep a close eye on the timeline to make sure everything was perfect. And, it was!
I worked alongside Jennifer and Rick Tan, our officiates and ceremony musicians, Cinecrown Photo & Video, and the team from Courtyard D Oro in Old Sacramento. We had a really nice ceremony in the courtyard, followed by cocktail hour, which featured cocktails, appetizers and a photobooth.
Guests were invited indoors for a 5 course dinner, and the evening went like this...
I introduced the wedding party and newlyweds to cool intro tunes. They had family members MC their family introductions, we went directly into toasting, I had some fun handling a centerpiece giveaway activity, the newlyweds waltzed to their first dance, we projected a slideshow that I had created for them, dinner continued, we showed a second slideshow from CineCrown, I opened up the dancefloor, and packed it...they cut their cake, we handled the bouquet and garter fun, and a serious surprise was that CineCrown produced a same-day wedding video that I projected, and it took guests' breath away.
It was a full, fun evening!

Arden Hills Country Club Wedding - Sacramento Wedding DJ
Sacramento Wedding DJ
Just last night, I played for a wild one at Arden Hills Country Club in Sacramento.
Firstly, I knew this wedding was gonna be a barnbuner, as everything about my meeting with Danette (our bride), hinted at. They had my photobooth reserved, amber uplights in the ceremony site and reception ballroom, and my DJ service in both areas.
As I was setting up, I saw Danette arrive and was told she was incredibly sick....:( Apparently, she had a nasty flu, and had been in the hospital the day before getting fluids pumped into her. I tell ya', she was a trooper on wedding day. She had a smile on her face, and you wouldn't have known how terrible she felt.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, and we moved into the Heritage Room for cocktail hour. I have played there many times, and the energy from this group confirmed my knowledge that this was gonna rock!
Our Grand Entrance was loud and well received, dinner was really good (Chicken and Blackened Steak), toasts were emotional and well spoken, and then the party was on!
They danced non-stop for 2+ hours, the photobooth was packed all night long, and Danette survived! Congrats to her and Chris.
The above, 'Action Shot,' was shot by Andrea from Chris Kight Photography.

Pioneer Park Wedding- Calistoga Wedding DJ
Sacramento Wedding DJ
I had their wedding booked for over a year, and almost forgot how endearing they both were, until Bill and Natasha met me at our final planning meeting in Davis.
They were originally going to be married locallu, but switched locations for personal reasons. They went with a fun, casual approach...one that fit their personalities perfectly.
Their wedding and reception were at Pioneer Park in amazing Calistoga. They had a catering company providing BBQ ribs, chicken and Tri Tip with all the fixins. Tiffany Green Photography was shooting, and she's so easy to work with!
Well, they married in the park gazebo, they had dinner, cocktails, designer cupcakes, then we danced....I was a bit worried because it wasn't dark out yet, and it can be a challenge getting people to the dancefloor when it's not dark. The second it hit 8:30, it was on!! We rocked it until we couldn't play outdoors any longer, and I directed them to the ever-popular 'After Party.'
