Ryan & Merlou - Sacramento Wedding DJ

Sacramento Wedding DJ
What an incredible 'Winter Wonderland' wedding we helped Ryan and Merlou with in December. Their vision when we met was one of baron trees, blue, white and silver accents, and lights everywhere!! The foyer to the Ballroom had a phenomenal ceiling treatment from Aimee at The Find, and we accented it with blue and white LED's, which looked stunning. We provided our photobooth and they created a slideshow for all to enjoy. They had us booked for 7 hours, and the dancefloor was rockin' until the very last minute. visit us at www.sjsdiscjockey.com

Arden Hills Country Club Wedding - Sacramento Wedding DJ

Sacramento Wedding DJ

Just last night, I played for a wild one at Arden Hills Country Club in Sacramento.

Firstly, I knew this wedding was gonna be a barnbuner, as everything about my meeting with Danette (our bride), hinted at. They had my photobooth reserved, amber uplights in the ceremony site and reception ballroom, and my DJ service in both areas.

As I was setting up, I saw Danette arrive and was told she was incredibly sick....:( Apparently, she had a nasty flu, and had been in the hospital the day before getting fluids pumped into her. I tell ya', she was a trooper on wedding day. She had a smile on her face, and you wouldn't have known how terrible she felt.

Their ceremony was short and sweet, and we moved into the Heritage Room for cocktail hour. I have played there many times, and the energy from this group confirmed my knowledge that this was gonna rock!

Our Grand Entrance was loud and well received, dinner was really good (Chicken and Blackened Steak), toasts were emotional and well spoken, and then the party was on!

They danced non-stop for 2+ hours, the photobooth was packed all night long, and Danette survived! Congrats to her and Chris.

The above, 'Action Shot,' was shot by Andrea from Chris Kight Photography.

Vizcaya Sacramento - Robert and Samantha

Robert and Samantha were married in the courtyard at the Vizcaya, in downtown Sac. The weather was ideal, Samantha looked stunning, and the ceremony was very well put together. Once we went indoors for the reception, the room looked awesome, their cupcakes were stacked high, you could smell the tri-tip cookin', and the appetizers were being served to all. Joel from http://www.2ndbornfilms.com/ was capturing every important moment, and I was spinning Frank, Dean, Norah, Diana and more leading us up to the first dance. I always love it when guests come up to me, and ask me when the dancing is set to begin. Ya' just know it's gonna be a good one! Their first dance was Van Morrison's "Someone Like You." Love that tune! Then the party began, and Samantha was on the dancefloor the entire night, literally!! The tune that brought the house down was "Fat Bottomed Girls." The night ended with them begging for more, but we had to close it up by 11PM. Great night!!

My New Photobooth for Rent!!!

I'm really excited to announce that I have just ordered a professional, mobile photobooth for my clients to enjoy at weddings and events. It will take a photo-strip of 4 pictures, and print two copies. One for the guests to keep, and the other to glue into the guest book. Guests can then sign around their photos...how fun!! This can take the place of disposable cameras at your tables, it's so much fun for guests to get silly in front of the camera!! It can print in color, black and white, and sepia. I can even customize the graphics at the top and bottom of the strip to reflect your event. I will burn a CD of all the photos for clients as part of the rental, and can even produce a slideshow if requested. It will be here in time for the holidays, and for all of next years' weddings. Feel free to call and reserve my new 'toy!'

Fower Farm Inn

In case you've never been, the Flower Farm Inn is a great place. Great accommodations, nice staff, beautiful grounds and hall, etc. Just played there for the first time last weekend, and it was some party!! Brian and Rachele had a great time, their guests partied like rock stars, and it was a very successful event. Look forward to being there again.

Next weekend, I go to my favorite venue, the Monte Verde Inn on Friday and Saturday, and the Auburn Country Club Sunday.
